Descrizione
Exclusive to the Campania region, it is known locally as “Piennolo,” from the traditional method of preservation “on the bunch.” The flavor is sweet, but with a characteristic slightly acidic aftertaste and a salty touch, typical of the volcanic soils on which it is grown. Processed exclusively by hand, it is jarred whole, in water and salt.
