Typical variety of the Vesuvius region in Campania, it is usually flattened at the ends with a pointed lace. The taste is slightly acidic, with a marked sweetness. The origin is presumably older than the red one, as the name "golden apple" suggests. Processed exclusively by hand, it is jarred whole, in water and salt.
